COOKING MAMA: FRIEND'S CAFE ARKADIUM, 2011
ROLE: GAME DIRECTOR / LEAD DESIGNER
I was lucky enough to get the opportunity to bring Cooking Mama to Facebook during the 'Farmville Era' of casual gaming. As a big fan of the series this was a dream project for me and I had a blast working on it.
It was a challenging game to navigate from an economy balancing standpoint because at the time there weren't nearly as many best practices established for F2P - a concept that was still fairly new at the time.
The game rapidly grew to over 1 million MAU (Monthly Active Users), which at the time was considered massive. The game had a good run, lasting ~2 years before Majesco shut it down.
